Maple syrup healthy
90% of the world’s production of this sweetener comes from Canada. It is much appreciated as a classic companion to “pancakes”. Maple syrup contains about 60% sugar, largely sucrose, as well as minerals, organic acids and proteins. This syrup has a light transparent color, and is very tasty. It must be kept in the refrigerator to prevent spoilage. Maple syrup is a valid alternative to refined white sugar. Despite this, it should be used sparingly.
