La haba es dif\u00edcil de digerir y por ello, cuando se logr\u00f3 fermentarla, se inici\u00f3 el consumo de productos de soja y sus derivados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soja fermentada: Tempeh, Miso, Shoyu, Tamari<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soja sin fermentar: leche de soja, Tofu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trav\u00e9s del proceso de fermentaci\u00f3n se descomponen los t\u00f3xicos de esta legumbre, los cuales pueden dificultar la digesti\u00f3n. Por ello, los productos de soja fermentada son m\u00e1s faciles de digerir y son saludables en peque\u00f1as cantidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Opiniones controversas<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grandes superficies de la selva virgen en Brasil y Argentina han tenido que ceder para dar lugar a campos de cultivo de soja, para cuyo cultivo se utilizan pesticidas. En Sudam\u00e9rica es muy com\u00fan el cultivo de soja transg\u00e9nica y muchos productos derivados de la soja son tratados durante su producci\u00f3n con hexano, un disolvente qu\u00edmico, que puede provocar da\u00f1os neur\u00e1lgicos. No se puede llamar a esto \u201enatural\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La soja contiene fitoestr\u00f3genos (como p.e. isoflavonas). Estas sustancias vegetales secundarias se relacionan con la presencia menos frecuente de casos de c\u00e1ncer de mama en Asia, debido al mayor consumo de productos de la soja. Tambi\u00e9n se habla ahora de la disminuci\u00f3n de los s\u00edntomas de la menopausia a ra\u00edz de la toma de isoflavonas.
