Avocado healthy fat
Among the “fruits and vegetables” the avocado has the highest fat content. It is very rich in unsaturated fatty acids and contains minerals and vitamins. The bowels are thankful for a “lining” of vegetable fat from time to time!
With avocados you can make great “dips” like guacamole, which when added to salads gives them more consistency, or blend them into smoothies giving them a creamier texture. Avocado is an alternative component; it’s very pleasant and adds color!

Tip: if you only use half an avocado, you can use the “empty” half as a lid to cover the “full” half when you store it in the fridge. After cutting, sprinkle the avocado with a little lime or lemon juice to prevent it from discoloring.
