It’s obtained through the pressing of black or white sesame seeds. In Asia it’s often used as cooking oil. Sesame oil has a calming effect, is tonic and detoxifies. Its high level of Omega 3 and 6, and vitamins, makes this oil a source of health.

In Ayurveda sesame oil is applied inside and out; the entire body is massaged with oil and then a layer ground mung bean powder is sprinkled on, creating a sort of peeling mask that turns clear under the shower using either hot or warm water. This easy to apply home remedy promotes blood flow to the skin, making it very soft.
