Tips to avoid sugar

There is no “healthy” alternative to sugar so:

  • Gradually reduce the “sweetness” in food
  • A dessert does not have to be a sugar bomb
  • Don‘t use white sugar (refined)
  • Carefully read the labels on food packaging
  • Avoid ready to eat foods
  • Avoid all sugar-sweetened beverages (like lemonade, coke, etc.)
  • Cook, try it and prepare! It really is very worthwhile
